Official rules

These are the house rules for Pretty Predictions. The game is free to play. There is no purchase necessary. Points are play money and have no cash value.

Terms of play

Free to play

Pretty Predictions is a free pop-culture prediction game. You pick Yes or No. No purchase is necessary to play, to keep a Record, or to create an account. There are no paid boosts, no entry fees, and no cash prizes.

Play money has no cash value

The points, prices, shares, and payouts you see are play money. They have no cash value. You cannot withdraw them, trade them, or redeem them for anything. This is not gambling and not a contest for a prize.

Who can play

You must be 18 or older to make a pick or to create an account. We ask you to confirm that once and keep a timestamp on your session or account.

How markets settle

Each market names an official source in that market's rules. We settle Yes or No from that source. For series markets we also keep a public source URL with the outcome. Our settlement decision is final for the game.

How corrections work

If we later find we got a settle wrong, we may correct it. A Corrected mark means our published Confidence Score leaned the other way from the outcome — we do not rewrite that Score to hide the miss. A later correction of the outcome itself is written by the desk and stays on the Record.
